O.F.S.C. District 12 is made up of two snowmobile associations, the Sudbury Trail Plan and the Rainbow Country Snowmobile Association. Please find below information on the associations & the areas which they cover. Each of these associations along with their member clubs are members in good standing with the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.

The Rainbow Country Snowmobile Association is a co-operative effort between five area clubs, with a total of 1,162 km of groomed trails. Following is a list of the clubs and the areas that they cover.

Nairn Center Wolverines covers the small communities of Beaver Lake, Nairn Centre, McKerrow and Webbwood. The T.O.P. "D" Trail in the area of these communities is maintained by the Wolverines Club and its volunteer members. The T.O.P. "D" Trail runs on the north side of Hwy 17 towards Spanish on the west and Sudbury Trail Plan (STP) on the east.

Massey and District Snowmobile Club's  community is a fine little snowmobile friendly area that has everything a snowmobiler may ever need or want such as fuel, motels and restaurants along side the trail. These trails are located on the west end of the O.F.S.C District 12 area. The southern portion of this clubs trails run over the LaCloche Mountains which leads to Espanola, Manitoulin Island & Killarney.

Killarney Snowmobile Club is located on the North Channel of Georgian Bay on Lake Huron. It is a picturesque quaint village and boasts spectacular views of the La Cloche Mountain range. It is a snowmobile friendly destination and is one of the most popular snowmobiling areas anywhere. Beautiful scenery and well-maintained trails connecting to the Provincial trail system are a must to ride. All ice crossings are well marked and staked, although as with any ice crossings please check with the locals and ... If You Don't Know, Don't Go! Killarney is also a wonderful and popular place to visit in the summer. It is a boating paradise very popular with boating enthusiasts. The Killarney area is unique with its crystal clear lakes and waters and majestic white quartzite La Cloche mountains. The Ontario Government has designated parts of the Killarney area as a protected area for recreation.

Espanola and Districts Snowmobile Club experience the thrill of riding south over the LaCloche Mountains towards Whitefish Falls, Manitoulin Island, Killarney and over the 120 foot steel bridge crossing the Vermillion River towards Nairn Centre. The Espanola trail system cross's several lakes which can be enjoyed by those who enjoy lake running. (O.F.S.C. ice markers indicate that the ice has been tested in the immediate area of the marker by volunteers). Over the past few years the club has put their efforts into building land based trails around 80% of the lakes for the riders that don't feel comfortable riding on lakes. This also provides earlier season starts!!!

Manitoulin Sno Dusters Club Inc. is a volunteer based club and "very" proud of their trail system. There are 545 km of groomed & signed trails reaching all areas of Manitoulin which tie into the provincial trail plan. The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (O.F.S.C.) honoured Manitoulin Snow Dusters in 2001 by awarding them the honour of "Club of the Year for 2001". The award is given out annually to recognize exceptional effort and achievements of the possible 270 plus clubs who are eligible for this award. Riding our trails on and around the Manitoulin area you will see the beautiful LaCloche mountain chain, many frozen lakes and rivers and often you will see white tailed deer.

The Sudbury Trail Plan Association (STP) is comprised of eight snowmobile clubs within the City of Sudbury. The STP is responsible for all grooming operations on behalf of it's eight member clubs that cover 1,300 km of trails within the City of Greater Sudbury.
